Lot size and reinforcement ladder calculator

Enter your balance, pick an instrument, and get the first entry and the whole reinforcement ladder — on the same model this account's own journey uses, not a simplified version of it.

Enter a balance above zero.

How it is worked out

A small share of the balance is set aside as margin for the first entry, then reinforcements are added one at a time for as long as the running total stays under a ceiling of 20% of the balance. The first one that would cross it ends the ladder — the count is never a fixed number decided up front, it falls out of the ceiling. Reference prices and a conservative assumed leverage are used; lower real leverage at your broker makes the result more conservative, never less.

If you open more than one instrument

The ceiling above is for a single instrument on this balance. Open several at full ladder at once and those percentages add up — and these instruments move together in a sharp sell-off. Safe limit: at most three at a time.

Before you use these numbers

This is a calculator, not a recommendation and not investment advice. Where to enter, reinforce and exit is your own chart-based decision — this tool sizes positions and nothing else. Check the contract specification and real leverage at your own broker before acting on anything here.
